If you would like to delete your WATO account and all associated data, you can do so directly within the app or by contacting us.
Option 1 — Delete in the App
- Open the WATO app and sign in.
- Tap your profile icon to go to Profile & Settings.
- Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete Account.
- Confirm the deletion when prompted.
Your account will be permanently deleted immediately.
Option 2 — Request via Email
If you are unable to access the app, send a deletion request to info@middleman.online. Please include the email address associated with your WATO account. We will process your request within 7 days.
What Gets Deleted
When your account is deleted, the following data is permanently removed:
- Your profile (display name, username, email, profile photo)
- All trips and travel dates you have entered
- Your friend connections and overlap history
- Your community memberships
- Any messages or chat history
- Push notification tokens
What May Be Retained
- Anonymised, aggregated usage data that cannot be linked back to you
- Records required by law or for fraud prevention purposes (retained for up to 30 days after deletion)
- Billing records associated with your Stripe subscription (retained as required by financial regulations)
